What is NBHD Podcast about?
NBHD Podcast features local business small business owners, capturing their stories of inspiration and growth for the world to hear. Our mission is to create a stronger community not only by introducing members of the public to new and incredible businesses but by emphasizing that shopping small shapes lives. Here at NBHD, we aim to share the stories of small business owners and teach listeners about their products and services with the intent to help build publicity in order to increase store traffic and sales.
Where can I listen to episodes?
NBHD Podcast is available on Spotify, Apple Podcasts, Google Podcasts, Breaker, Pocket Cask, and RadioPublic. Simply type "NBHD" into the search bar of your favourite stream service, or head over to our Anchor page to listen and explore streaming options.
I am a small business owner, how can I be featured?
We are always looking to speak to new small business owners! You can apply to be featured by filling out our recommendation form and providing us with your contact information and the basic details of your business. Please note that currently, we are only interviewing small business owners in the Greater Ottawa Region. Recommendations are reviewed on a rolling basis, so businesses will be contacted as time and topic focus allows. We will reach out to your business via email when an interview slot becomes available.
I know a great small business I think should be featured, how do I refer them?
If you are not a small business owner, but you have a small business in mind that you believe should be featured on the NBHD Podcast, you can refer them by completing the recommendation form. If you do not know all the business details that the questions inquire about, just leave them blank! We will do some research of our own and reach out to the business when an interview slot becomes available.
There is a technical error or concern with one of your podcasts, how do I report a problem?
We are so sorry to hear you encountered a problem or concern! Here at NBHD, we are eager to help you find a solution. Head on over to our general inquiries contact form and share with us the specific challenge you are facing. This form will email our team directly, and then we will get back to you with a solution at the earliest convenience.

Does NBHD charge small businesses to be featured on the podcast?
No! NBHD does not charge small businesses to be featured on the podcast. Our only mission is to help small business owners gain publicity and share either story. Making meaningful connections and making a positive impact in our community is our reward. All team members operate on a voluntary basis.
Is NBHD currently recruiting people for their team?
Currently, NBHD is not recruiting any more people for their team. Keep an eye on our social media, if we decide to recruit new team members, applications will be promoted on our social media and website. In the meantime, consider supporting our podcast in other ways such as referring businesses, sharing episodes, and leaving reviews.
