Tiana Thomas is in the final year of her undergraduate degree at Carleton University in the Honours Bachelor of Global and International Studies program, specializing in Global Development and Minoring in French. Tiana is currently an employee at Natural Resources Canada, the first step into her career in development, public affairs, and politics. Outside of school and work, Tiana spends her time baking cupcakes for her own small business, recording and editing podcasts, and curating opportunities for the company she co-owns with Andrew Kerr and Cameron Powers, Neighbourhood Innovations. 

Tiana has big dreams of making the world a better place for all and truly believes that it starts at a local level. Improving small business traffic shapes lives, promotes sustainability, and stimulates the economy. Through this podcast, she hopes to show the impact of shopping small, and inspire our listeners to be conscious of their power as a consumer; thus empowering small businesses in our community.
